Versatile Atmen Space Heater doubles up as an air filter

Over the past few decades, our lives have become increasingly mobile and we are surrounded by gadgets and gizmos that give us the freedom to keep on dong our work and stay connected to our contacts even on the go. However, a few technologies that we still use in our daily lives have failed to evolve with the changing times. The space heater is one such appliance that is needed throughout the day though most designs available in the market are still very clunky. To be most effective to the user, currently available space heaters need to be fixed to a certain point in the room and more often than not come with fans or other means of circulating air that can lead to the spread of airborne germs and pollutants in the room.

Atmen Air - Space Heater

These space heaters are also not fitted with any kind of technology to ensure that they heat a room only up to a level that is comfortable to the user which means that users sitting too close to these heaters end up getting burns. The Atmen Space Heater by designer Edouard Urcadez is one such space heater that cleans the air while heating it to a comfortable level. The Atmen combines intuitive and simple control interfaces and comes with a completely redesigned filtration system that makes it a healthy heating option for both home users as well as professionals.

The multi-orientation design of the Atmen lets it be positioned and configured to the user’s need. Thanks to its curved form, heat is dispersed perfectly from all angles which allows the space heater to cover a wider area in the room and lets the heater be installed in virtually any corner of the room without lessening its impact or effectiveness.

For controlling the temperature even at a distance, a small remote magnetically attached to Atmen’s rear surface provides users a distinct ease of use that most space heaters don’t. To save power and ensure the user’s safety, the Atmen shuts off automatically after an hour of operation though a simple tap of the power button is enough to keep it going another hour. In case the heater trips and falls either vertically or horizontally, an accelerometer built into the base shuts off power to the heater and prevents fire hazards and electric short circuits.

As the heater begins to radiate more heat, the LED lights indicating battery status, remote control activity and control interface begin to glow in deeper shades of red to indicate the amount of time that has elapsed since the heater has been switched on. To minimize dust inhalation, the heater comes fitted with carbon filters and UV lights that kill germs while the air is circulating inside it.

Made to fit anywhere within the home, the heater covers a wider area as compared to a typically-shaped space heaters. No special tools are needed to refit and hold the heater in various positions since it stands on its own via a friction-held stand. The Atmen also comes with a retractable power cord housed in the back which lets the cord be tucked in neatly when the heater is not in use.
