The scooter backpack makes alternate mobility even more appealing

Going green is really the buzzword with the urban youth today but most of them don’t want to buy a bicycle because storing it is too much of a hassle. Scooters and skateboards are the most natural medium of green urban travel for this demographic but the zero cargo hauling capacity that scooters offer deters many from using them as a real alternative to fuel-guzzling modes of transport. Luckily, designer Gustavo Brenck has come up with the perfect backpack for use with scooter.

Gig Pack

Most scooter owners have to carry a backpack on their backs while using their green wheels but this scooter backpack called Gig Pack allows them to let the scooter carry their load. The backpack itself is crafted out of water-proof nylon though the integrated scooter uses an aluminum frame. This sturdy frame is light enough to be carried by user on their back and yet strong enough to carry their weight when in motion.

The framing also helps keep the backpack upright when stored at the front of the scooter. This allows users to store a lot of stuff in the backpack including notebooks and tablet PCs without worrying about the backpack falling off the scooter. The scooter is designed in a way that it can easily be folded into the backpack which makes it easier to carry when one has to use a metro, a train or a bus or even when one needs to store the scooter and bring the backpack along with them. Large rubber wheels on the scooter are perfect for tackling even the most rugged sidewalks and the scooter itself can easily carry passengers weighing up to 90kgs.
