MaxDiV House landscape to change the way people in the suburbs live

With the bulk of the world’s population flocking to the cities for want of a better life, the balance between man and nature that existed in older times has been disturbed irreparably. However, the lifestyle of people living in the countryside still manages to maintain that delicate balance and provides people with the opportunity to interact with nature and the plants that they consume as a part of their daily lives. This allows people to appreciate nature and its limits more. To allow people living in big cities to experience the same kind of kinship with nature, the designers at Ecologic Studio have come up with the MaxDiV House Concept.

Agricultural landscape

Based on a naturalistic approach to life, the Hyper Agricultural Landscape allows people living in suburban parts of cities to live in a more countryside like environment without giving up the modern comforts of city life. These mixed housing units are proposed for new sub-urban residential developments around big cities. The MaxDiV House looks to incorporate facades that mimic the sociocultural features of a farm manor with natural elements like terrace gardens that allow people to grow the food they need in and around the housing that they live in.

The modernistic clusters of housing also allow inhabitants to work in these urban farms and provide employment to people as well. These clusters of homes also allow people to create handicrafts and keep indigenous arts alive and provide artisans with the chance to make a decent living.
